I'm a little late with this post because I forgot my camera and had to wait to get the pictures from my friends. Myself and three home girls spent a weekend in Miami, FL. All I can say is "Good Times, Man!"

Camping in the back woods of Omaha, GA
I spent last weekend in the middle of no where (Omaha, GA) camping! If you know me you might ask what I was doing in the wilderness knowing good and well I am afraid of bugs? I actually did very well! We got there Friday around 5 and got a tour of the site.
This was our kitchen... cute! They simply pitched a tent over one of the picnic tables and layed outdoor rugs inside, and a table cloth to give it a homey feel.
This is a neat thing... If you don't want to shower in the community showers, you can bring your own. This shower/portapotty tent allows you to fill a bag of water that hooks up to the top of the tent and take a shower. The bag can be placed out in the sun to get warm. I might invest in one of these considering my first shower was freezing. I can't remember the last time I took a cold shower! I was not pleased!
Putting our tent together was not nearly as difficult as I expected.
That's good because the level of difficulty would determine whether or not I'd do it again. It took maybe 30 minutes and we we're up and running.
This is my camping buddy. I brought my pink tennis racquet to play but they didn't have a court. My next trip I'm bringing my pink fishing pole to go fishing. There was a good sized lake on the site and a good number of visitors cought catfish.
This trip was truly relaxing. I had terrible mobile reception while there (I called my sister to let her know I made it and she talked badly about us saying we were supposed to be picking berries, not Blackberrying, LOL). I'll admit, the site wasn't as primitive as one would expect. Some of the friends had t.v.'s in their rooms to play dvd's. We also found out that if you brought a cable wire, you can rent cable as well! That's perfect for men who don't want to miss the BIG game!
The first night we had tacos!! Saturday morning we had eggs, sausages, grits and apple raisin nut bread. Saturday night we had hot wings, smothered chicken, cabbage, potatoes, rice and brownies and fruit salad for desert. Sunday morning we had waffles, sausages links and fruit for breakfast. I think I ate better out there than when I'm home.
Anyway, I was able to go jogging while there, we played card games and laughed a lot. We had talks about the Bible. We had Sunday service at the pavilion, and headed back home.
If you haven't gone camping, you absolutely should at least once. We're going back in the Fall.

Back from the "O"
So I spent the weekend with my family in Orlando. We threw my girl C.A.T. a surprise party on Saturday. She's on vacation from spending almost 6 months in Iraq. We also had the pleasure of meeting her new beau, Ed. Her mom fired up the grill and we ate sea food (although for whatever reason my appitite wasn't there). After everyone left I played Wii Fit for the first time. I've got to get one of those!

I really enjoyed myself and hate that I had to come back to the "A" so soon.
Next trip... CAMPING!!!!! Now as scared as I am of bugs, this is going to be interesting. I camped for 1 night last year and loved it. The month of May is going to be a BUSY and fun-filled month of travels.

Back in the Gym
I'd like to think my life is interesting enough to blog about... I was inspired by several people, although the thought of my personal life being open to the world makes me a little uneasy. Well, I try to be brief so here goes...
It's funny how friends say things and don't think twice about it, but you take it to heart and it affects you more than they know. I mentioned to my best friend that I was going to the gym tonight. Before last week, I hadn't seen her in about 6 months, since she was on deployment overseas. Innocently enough she says, "Yeah, I saw your lil stomach when I was in town. Gone ahead with your bad self." Now I knew good and well that although I'm not overweight by any means, I could, however, afford to do a couple of dozen crunches every day. I didn't say anything to her about it, but needless to say.... my workout was rigorous tonight and I'll be going back tomorrow! LOL
